What Can I Expect?

The 1st Annual Southeastern Neonatal/Pediatric Nutrition Conference is designed to provide the most updated, advanced and practical approaches to contemporary issues in pediatric and neonatal nutrition. This activity will provide unique opportunities to learn, share and investigate new ways of assessing and managing pediatric patients with complex nutritional needs.

Event Objectives:
- • Identify nutritional needs and describe the nutritional management for patients with Celiac Disease. • Identify the potential implications of altered eating behaviors in children. • Describe and discuss how diet, environment, and micro biota in infancy affect long-term immune system health. • Describe appropriate nutritional therapies for children with various gastrointestinal disorders.

Who Should Attend?

Pediatricians, Neonatologists, General Medicine, Pediatric Gastroenterologists, Dietitians, Nurses, Physician Assistants and Pharmacists.

Traveling East on US 74-76 (From Lumberton, Whiteville, etc.): Enter Wilmington via the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge. Stay on US 17-74-76 (Dawson Street) until you get to 16th Street. Turn right. New Hanover Regional Medical Center will be about 2.5 miles on left. Traveling East on US 421 (From Clinton, etc.): Enter Wilmington via the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge. Stay on US 17-74-76 (Dawson Street) until you get to 16th Street. Turn right. New Hanover Regional Medical Center will be about 2.5 miles on left. Traveling East on I-40 (From Raleigh, etc.): Enter Wilmington on I-40. It turns into Hwy. 132. Stay on Hwy. 132 until you get to Shipyard Blvd. Turn right and stay on Shipyard Blvd. until you reach 17th Street. Turn right, New Hanover Regional Medical Center will be about .75 miles on the right. Traveling South on US 17 (From Jacksonville, Morehead City, etc.): Enter Wilmington on US 17 (Market Street). Turn left on 16th Street (US 17). New Hanover Regional Medical Center is about 5 miles on left.
